Look in Control Panel, Programs and Features, Windows Features (you may need to install Desktop Experience) and see if Hyper-V is enabled. That is how it is &quot;installed&quot;<br />

Then there should be a folder on the server with your Virtual Machines. These are very large files. Look there.

My approach is a bit crude, but it may get you to your answer.<br />
<br />
Copy a large number of files between the VM and a workstation. &nbsp;The point is to create a lot of network traffic between them. &nbsp;A continuous ping (ping -t) to the server may be as effective. &nbsp;If you look at the lights on your switches you should be able to identify which two are blinking very frequently and in sync with each other. &nbsp;This is much easier if you can do it when there's not much else going on.<br />
<br />
If you can follow the cabling to each end (one of which is your workstation), you should be able to identify the physical box in which the VM is located.

If you can log on to this vm, get its NIC's &nbsp;MAC address. &nbsp;Then, if you have managed switches, you should be able to track it down from looking at the MAC address tables on your switches

So... following andyalder's advice I found out that the 2003 machine is NOT virtually hosted on the 2012 machine... they are BOTH being virtually hosted.<br />

Virtual server location
