You would need a manual for your ground line phone. My own ground line phone has a small screen, settings and I can set one of 3 or 4 ring tones. Very basic. It will be in your manual

There is not enough information on the picture you posted in the other link.

Is there a phone manufacturer evident on the phone?  Google for the manufacturer and model number.

Looks like you're stuck with the ringtone - but you can turn down the volume!

Turn the buzzer / ring volume down. That is probably all you can do.
