Move Exchange 2003 database to external drive?

Hello,

Server running Windows 2003 Standard and Exchange 2003 Standard has 10GB free on C drive and 3mb free on D drive which is where Exchange is installed. I removed log files Friday which created free space of 10GB, but that has now filled up today. There is another couple gigabytes of logs I could delete. I currently have stopped the Exchange services.

I need this server up and running for Monday and have a new server being prepped for next Friday. The below is the best thought I have come up with for now...

Is it possible to follow these instructions linked below and move the 96GB .edb and/or 92GB .stm file to a new NTFS formatted 2TB External USB 2.0 drive?

Thank you!
