Hello,

I have a Column B which is a master list of Software. I have a column A which is another Set of Software list. I need to compare the text in Column A rowl 1 with entire Column B and return a Match no Match status in Column C. Then pickup row2 in column A and compare with Column B.This has to be done for all the rows in Column A with that of Column B.

Maybe this...

In C2
=IF(COUNTIF($B$2:$B$5,A2),"Match","No Match")

and copy it down.
Change the range reference as per your requirement.

The formula did not work. I have about 436 rows in column A and 3807 rows in column B. For example in column A I have a Software name that says Microsoft Visio 2013 Professional. In Column B I have Microsoft Visio 2010 STD and Microsoft Visio 2016 Professional. The common element is Visio which is available in A and B. So Visio is a match. I need to do the same for all the rows in A and match it with B (Not exact Match) and have the result output in C saying if there was a match or not.
We are not aware of the data what you have on the sheet. You asked a very general question. It would be better if you upload a sample workbook with small set of dummy data and mock up the desired output manually.
