The Old server is still existing and has two working mailbox databases. only one mailbox database was corrupted beyond repair.
i have the backup, how can i restore the backup to the new server? is it necessary to restore the mailbox database on a different server using /M:RecoverServe.
basically what is the best way to fix the issue in this scenario?
i now have two exchange servers. The old exchange server is still having two working mailbox databases and i have created the new exchange server with new mailbox database.
how can i export the user mailboxes from the old corrupted mailbox database environment to the new mailbox database.
see below the steps i used to restore the failed database mailbox.
1. I created a new mailbox server and then restored the failed mailbox database on it.
2. Then i created another mailbox database where i restored all the user mailboxes.
3. from this point all users started sending/receiving emails however they could not see their old emails.
4. later alone i restored all the old emails to their respective user mailbox.
lastly, i would like to thank you all for your contribution on this case.
keep up the good work
