Data port on phone
What is the data port on the phone for on a mitel 3000 series phone. We are going analog with the phone system due to slow upload speeds from our I.S.P. mitel says they don't recommend using rj45 for the phone lines to use rj12 4 pi. Is it for the hold features for music or something else I can't find in the manual? Please help thanks....

At my current job we don't use the port for a PC, but at my old job we did and there were no issues. The phones are basically small computers and can be configured a variety of ways. However, the phone system is not what issues IP addresses - that comes from your network.
Answered his question then he asked another one that didn't make sense.
