connect to cisco 2690 series
Hi Dearsm
I have a server with 2 port 10gbE copper, and also a cisco 2690 swith (100 Mbps) with 2 1G port uplink,
i want create a connection between 10GE copper with 1 G port of switch ,
is it possible ? if yes how i do it?

my switch is 100mbps with 1 G uplink copper,
when i connect 10GbE copper from server to 1G uplink switch, then, i enter ethtool eth0, it show :

Yes, you can do this, you need to purchase a GLC-T sfp module.

As far as I know most sfp's cannot switch speeds so I recon it is not possible.
Wait, you have two 1gb uplinks, not even sfp connections? Then there is no way.
