Best Practice AD Sites & services Connections

Hi All,

Please can someone tell me in layman term the best practice for a simple optimal performance for setting up network connections within Active Directory Site and Services. Currently to me it looks overkill with connections to each sites, not sure if this is good for replication or bad? Please try not to send me complicated links as I've already googled some and it makes my head hurt.

We have -

Site 1 - 100MB MPLS with 2x DC's
Site 2 - 100MB MPLS with 2x DC's

Site 3 - 10MB MPLS with 1x DC
Site 4 - 10MB MPLS with 1x DC

Thanks in Advance!

That's a lot of DCs. It looks to me like whoever put these in was more concerned about link reliability then speed.

I have only DefaultIPSiteLINK under Inter-Site Transports set Cost 100 and replication interval 15, is this what you meant by using a single AD site?

Please can you provide me some examples as am not too clued up with site and services and how do I create separate sites for site 3 and 4?

Also how many connections should have between Site 1 to Site 2 with DC's replicate to and from?
Thanks

Can you please tell me the best optimal way of creating connection, one for each DC or..?

Thanks
Any more help on this please?
the KCC will automatically create connections for syncing domain controllers between sites; intersite and intrasite
no need to create manually
