how they found out that's a Windows 10 updates ? what is the kb number ?
That is true but Microsoft has a reg fix for that to stop the update on Windows 7. You can also use GWX Control Panel.

Are they talking about the Win 10 upgrade automatically installing? KB3035583 and KB3150513

I don't understand, are you referring to the windows 10 upgrade from windows 7?
We have already excluded that in WSUS,
We have already excluded that in WSUS,
I must be confused. Are you saying that Windows 10 is ALREADY installed on the customer machines or is trying to install?
I would read the KB's that MASQ has provided either way.

no my clients runs windows 7, and they claiming windows 10 patches are being installed on them,
that's as much as I know, and they claiming this is pretty well documented on the net, however I've not seen anything around this
it's not trying to upgrade there machines from windows 7 to windows 10, as we've excluded that KB/upgrade from WSUS

And to answer your question, yes I was talking about Windows 7 being upgraded to Windows 10 and how to stop that from happening.
OH! Now that's something new. I never heard of that.
@MASQ have you heard of that?
@MASQ have you heard of that?
Ask them what are the KB numbers,
I don't think that's happening, I think they are getting the pop up to install Windows 10 which you can stop with what I posted earlier. Then again I would clarify what the issue really is in their environment.
The Windows 10 update prompts are really annoying. So double check with them what the issue really is.
I think they are wrong.
WSUS shouldn't deliver it but that doesn't mean it hasn't been incorporated in a local download or even accidentally into an image.
WSUS doesn't prevent other hotfixes being delivered.
Check the Hotfix inventory on an affected machine.
