Windows Update for Skype Meeting App?

Hello:

Here on my Windows 7 Professional laptop, which is of the Dell Inspiron 15 "5000 Series", I "connect" with a client of mine  through the Skype Meeting App.

Twice now in the past three weeks, my laptop has locked up during a meeting to the point where I have to embarrassingly reboot my laptop.

I don't know what version of the Skype Meeting App that my client uses.  But, is there a Windows Update or something along those lines that can be placed on my laptop to prevent this locking up?

On rare occasions, his laptop locks up, also.  And, my own laptop here is brand new.

In any case, what can be done?
