We had a few shared mailboxes get migrated to Office 365, as User mailboxes, and therefore they received a E1 (CONTOSO:STANDARDPACK) license. <br />

If I remove the license from those Shared Mailboxes, using Set-MsolUserLicense -UserPrincipalName UPN -RemoveLicenses &quot;CONTOSO:STANDARDPACK&quot;, does anything happen to the contents of the Shared Mailbox? Is the mailbox and contents purged? even though its a shared mailbox that doesnt require a enterprise license? <br />

Is the mailbox and contents purged? even though its a shared mailbox that doesnt require a enterprise license?

Removing License from a Shared Mailbox

Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month.
