Removing License from a Shared Mailbox

Christian Hans
Last Modified: 2017-04-20
We had a few shared mailboxes get migrated to Office 365, as User mailboxes, and therefore they received a E1 (CONTOSO:STANDARDPACK) license.

If I remove the license from those Shared Mailboxes, using Set-MsolUserLicense -UserPrincipalName UPN -RemoveLicenses "CONTOSO:STANDARDPACK", does anything happen to the contents of the Shared Mailbox? Is the mailbox and contents purged? even though its a shared mailbox that doesnt require a enterprise license?

Thanks in advance.
