Cloning an OpenServer 5.0.4 HDD from a dead computer

I have a customer with an old computer which was running OpenServer SCO 5.0.4 (circa 1995) with a custom built database and ordering system.  The hard drive is in working condition, but the computer itself is dead.  I would like to backup this HDD for safekeeping and also to convert it to a virtual machine.  Please offer suggestions to do get this accomplished.

Convert to vm for vmware? Hyper-v?
For hyper-v read this thread https://hyperv.veeam.com/blog/how-to-convert-physical-machine-hyper-v-virtual-machine-disk2vhd/
What systems do you have to which this drive can be attached and imaged or cloned..
Do you have a system into which you connected this system and it booted?  Clonzilla could be used, etc.
