Vmware View/Vsphere Upgrade
Thank you all in advance -
Here is what I'm looking to do:
current config - Vmware Horizon View 6.0 Running on vSphere 5.5 - using vCenter 5.5
goal - Vmware Horizon View 7.1 running on VSphere 6.5 - using vCenter 6.5
Process (Macro Level)
1. Upgrade Vcenter from 5.5 to 6.0 - using upgrade tool via client plug in
2. Upgrade Vcenter from 6.0 to 6.5 - using upgrade tool via client plug in - Do I need this step? Can I go from vCenter 5.5 to 6.5?
3. Upgrade each host from 5.5 to 6.0 (migrate VMs, put in maintenance mode, shutdown, reboot with new version of vSphere disk etc.)
4. Upgrade each host from 6.0 to 6.5 (migrate VMs, put in maintenance mode, shutdown, reboot with new version of vSphere disk etc.) - Do I need this step? Can I go from vCenter 5.5 to 6.5?
5. Upgrade View connection server from 6.1 to 7.1
6. Upgrade view connection backup server from 6.1 to 7.1
7. Push 7.1 agent to the VMs
