PC completely freezes when playing games.
I'm experiencing this problem from a few days and I can't seem to get a solution for it. Basically when I'm playing any game the PC just completely freezes with a stuttering/repeating sound (sometimes goes away and sometimes not). I've checked for the temps of CPU and GPU with MSI Afterburner so overheating is not the case. What I found in the event viewer is that 2 events are frequent.
1 - (The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.). These are alot.
2 - The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E 40B9D52016 0}
and APPID
{9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-A B702511C27 6}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
Now, as I said these event are frequent means they're not only 1 or 2 but they're so many. The second event is just of the same time my pc crashed when playing game. Few days back it was only with COD:AW & Rise of the TR but today it happened with Fifa 15.
Please help me fix this issue, I don't wanna reinstall windows at this point.

Also remove your RAM modules and check for dust in the slots or on the RAM modules themselves. Wipe the modules (especially the edges) with a soft tissue or cloth. Blow out the slots and replace the modules.
Test the RAM with a memory tester. You can use the Windows one or the free version of MemTest http://www.memtest86.com/

Freeze, check temperature ........CPU etc. in addition to the prior suggestions.
I doubt it is ram, ram issue trigger auto reboots or blue screens if auto restart.....

try with chkdsk /f/r running this command in command prompt.
CHKDSK /r if enough, If you use CHKDSK /r that means that you are automatically using CHKDSK /r /f.
i never run chkdsk before i know that the disk is ok - otherwise, it causes more troubles only
