JQuery DataTable Functionality

The data table here does not sort when clicking on the column heads. Can someone share with me why?

I am building my results page over from simple to complex to learn this utility by trying to minimize the errors and learning at each step of the way and I truly appreciate the assistance.

Hmmmm...I thought I was told that all of this functionality was "baked in" to the DataTable utility. No? How do I add the functionality myself? I have looked at the link you sent and it is not clear to me how to embellish my server-side (or client side?) code to get this to function?

Thank you very much. If I use client side processing, can I still query a database and, if so, how do I do that?

Big Monty suggested I use aspJSON. Maybe I should just move in that direction??? Thoughts?

Nonetheless, this is very helpful as I learn this technology, albeit late in the game...

Super. Thank you. Now I just need to pass asp variables to my sql query (num records, race id, etc). I will post another question on that and look into aspJSON.
