Outlook search issues
One of our clients' had outlook 2010 and was having issues regularly, it used to be send/receive errors daily as the user had over 20 mailboxes (registry hack) which was causing multiple problems. We reduced that down to 5-7 mailboxes which has resolved the send/receive errors they were having.
Attempted fixes:
Rebuilt the PC
Installing both 2013/2016
Rebuilt the indexes multiple times.
The latest problem is that when the user searches for a recent email (last two days) outlook cannot find the mail, they've tried searching via the sender, summary and time. The five email accounts she has within her outlook profile do add up to approx 40GB which is causing us to ask the question: Is this too big for an OST? If so is there a way in which we can split the mailboxes within the profile so that the OST reduces in size?
Additional Information:
Company uses Hosted Exchange, only one user having the problem.

What is the HDD speed on user system in RPM? It is not the OST size, it is HDD or hardware, which is the really cause for this issue. Move user to high end machine and it will be fixed.

Thanks guys, I've suggested to the client to get a SSD hard drive. We're going to give that a try. Many thanks again.
