What is a standalone domain controller?
When we said a standalone domain controller what does it mean? Is it one DC only the forest?
Who's "we" - can you post context? Where did you see this?

I just hearsometime when people talk. For me there is just Domain Controller, Member server and standalone server (not in domain)... but not standalone DC.
I feel that some peoples talk about standalone DC to mean single DC in the forest and they don't use the good term. Am I right?

Standalone refers to the system which have no Additional Controller (ADC) or RODC.
You get standalone workstations and servers (not domain members). A DC cannot be standalone.
