Root Samsung Galaxy S8 phone

Is it currently possible to root a Sprint PCS Samsung Galaxy S8 cell phone?

If so please provide me with the steps and information on how to do this.

If phone is for business I wouldn't recommend doing so, and if still under warranty then I wouldn't do it either

"Rooting" a phone has side effects and most of them are bad.  The main issue is that it prevents the manufacturer or the service provider from sending out software updates, and more importantly, security updates.  Once a phone has been "rooted", it'll never get another update again no matter how bad the problem may be.

Unless a phone has been around for several years and is no longer supported by updates, rooting isn't a good idea as far as security goes.

ASKER

We are doing this since we are all IT professionals and need to learn how to support our customers who are and will be doing this.

The phones that are rooted or jailbroken aren't our production phones. They are simply extra phones that we carry around with us and are used as backup phones and to simulate environments where some of our customers are working with rooted phones.
