Do you know how VFP runs under Windows 8?

I ran an executable, amazingly a feature related to oleTreeView simply didn't worked out.

Thanks in advance.

VFP works well under W8. Certain problems may occur when accessing shared files over the network which has SMB2 and SMB3 turned ON.

But oleTreeView isn't VFP.  It is an add-on OCX control which you have to copy to the target machine and which requires registration. Did you register this control by RegSvr32 placed in SysWoW64 folder?

Hi Pcelba

In truth the missed OCX was:
User generated image
So I downloaded it elsewhere and register accordingly to:

User generated image 1st - Only in Windows
Copy it only to Windows folder and then regisry.

It doesn't work - the .OCX is still asked by VFP.

2nd - In the .EXE directory directly and register in it.

The APP simply doesn't run...
Do you have SysWow64 folder in your PC?

And why did you use registration in silent mode?  I would say you must be interested in the results... :-)
Sorry. Mutch better to see the results.

The problem arises when registering in Windows

User generated image
It claims to check for .DLL dependencies, etc.

Or in the VFP app folder:

User generated image
I have  SysWoW64  under Windows -  produces the same error:
User generated image
Any workaround?
Yes.
1) Place the control to the app folder or to the SysWow64 folder.
2) Register by RegSvr32 from SysWow64.

System32 is for 64 bit DLLs.
Unfortunatelly the 02 ways generates the same error.

OCX installed and VFP app runs fine!

Thank you for the outstanding assistance!
Great!  I would do it in SysWoW64 preferably but if it works then OK.
