Users lost folder redirection after patch was installed.
Operating system: Windows 7 Enterprise
It's been brought to my attention that several people (not the entire network)are experiencing the problem below:
Their documents folder is not updating with their Home drive.
They can get to those documents by accessing her H drive but not locally on their machine.
Duplicate My Documents folder on their Home drive (both not updated)
Troubleshooting:
rebooted computer
gpupdate/force
recreated new profile
confirmed that their Home drive path in active directory is correct
Tom, I did what you said but I have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for. Is there a line that I should look at to confirm if the policy is
Make sure that in GPO policy filtering policy is applied to group where user is a member of. Tom, I did what you said but I have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking for. Is there a line that I should look at to confirm if the policy is. I don't have access to active directory or group policy like I did on my old job. I'm supposed to gather all the information I can to forward to our Network Operators team.

If Folder redirection is in your default GPO you can check by gpresult /R is policy was applied.
If you doesn't have access to GPO then you can't do anything.
Just copy gpresult /r to notepad and past to your domain admin.
Ask him to check if folder redirection is set correctly and if there is an filtering for groups set to apply policy to, ask him to make sure that users who has problems are member of this groups
Our CADD team is the one who applied the patch. They are working on a new project and wanted to add 3 individuals to the CADD Security Team. They didn't warn anyone about what could happen (even us) so it was panic in the disco! Anyway, I inputted your suggestion to the team and they confessed to modifying a GPO. So...this will be fixed until their project is up and running. Thank you for your help!!
