Bitlocker on a Win2012 R2 Hyper-V partition with LIVE VMs with hardware RAID 10 question?

I have a PowerEdge server with a PERC 6i hardware RAID controller in a RAID 10 configuration.  The server is operating Win2012 R2 with 2 partitions and configured with Hyper-V.  1) C: partition is hosting the OS.  2) D: partition is hosting the Hyper-V virtual machines.

1) If I enabled BitLocker on the D: partition where the VMs are hosted and a harddrive failed within my RAID 10 configuration, will Bitlocker prevent the replacement drive from joining the RAID since it was not originally configured as part of the Bitlocker encryption?
2) Will Bitlocker have any major impact on the virtual machines?
