What about compatibility. I have read somewhere WinXP is not supported in Exchange Online but I guess this is comment about general support. I belive all Office Outlook versions should work with Exchange Online. Is this correct?

So long as your exports from the existing Outlooks are saved as .pst files, you shouldn't have any issues regardless of Outlook versions or which operating system the Outlook you exported from was running on.<br />
<br />
I'll also second Andy M's suggestion. No additional software needed and it's the way I'd go about doing it as well.<br />
