asked on
unknown computers in my LAN
Hello experts, just today i started seeing two new computers in my LAN
they are totally unknown....
I want to get rid of them and turned off all laptops, and restarted the modem
But nothing they appear again
My ISP does no give us password to access to the modem... so I am waiting
for their technician to come tomorrow
But then is there any thing I can do, like removing virus or else ?
All ideas are welcome....
thank you very much!

Get Advanced IP Scanner (Famatech). Download it, install it and run it. Scan your network and see what devices come up.
Too bad the free download for Advanced IP Scanner (on the radmin.com site aka farmatech.com ) goes to filehippo.com for the download.
Hard to trust these sites :-(

Problem is ... their link goes to Filehippo. There, three 'download' buttons - when hovered over ... all lead to doubleclick.net (which Google owns). Sad.
I would love to check out the program. Do you have a download that is actually on their site ?

Yes it does seem to go to File Hippo now. Radmin goes to the Radmin site.
I have it running, so I downloaded from File Hippo and it is the same thing. It is ok for me and I use it.

Maybe they ARE hacking tools, lol.
Not really. They are just scanning tools.
The difference between a deadly weapon and a useful tool is the hand that holds it.

Thank you for the update and I was happy to help.
Can you ping them ?
Check your DHCP server and make a note about MAC address of this devices.
If you have DHCP server you can BAN this mac addresses so they not going to be able get your network IP anymore.
