Does Citrix Xenapp 7.5 perform better on a physical server versus a VM
We have two Citrix servers one on a physical server. E5620 @2.40 GHz, 2 processors, 64 gig. The other a Hyper-V VM. E5-2630 v3 @2.40 GHz, 3 processors, 48 gig.
The VM is regularly peaking over 70 % CPU. It's only for short periods, however the physical server doesn't seem to have the same issue. Both servers run exactly the same apps and they are load balances, so they have equal users.
Based on the above information, your opinion is appreciated as to which is better. Or what adjustments can I make?

The VM has less memory and more processors. Do you think and adjustment might help? If so what?

Thanks
Things can be faster in a VM too.
