I have a customer Master with Code & Name Fields. While entering data through Input screen I will type customer name and the program will go on filtering the name of the customer from the Master Data File and when I press Enter Key it will select the exact record from the master with Code. What do you mean?
If you already have a program doing that then what do you need in Foxpro?
If you have an existing FP2.6 application and it needs to have that functionality added to it, then you need to modify the FP code.
* If you are going to modify the FP2.6 code, do you have the Source Code?
* If you don't have the Source Code, then you have a problem because that is a requirement for introducing changes into an application
* Do you have Foxpro programming experience?
There is no 'off-the-shelf' PROGRAM to do that, but there is a FP utility that Pavel mentions above (JKey) which you can incorporate into your application code.
* If not you do not have the FP programming experience then you need to hire a FP professional contractor/consultant to do the work for you.
If you are writing a totally new application I would first recommend that you quit trying to use the OLD Foxpro 2.6 and get a copy of Visual Foxpro 9.
Then the same questions as above need to be asked about your own knowledge about programing in Foxpro/Visual Foxpro.
