Excel 2016 - Cannot get rid of white PLUS sign cursor
Excel 2016/Win10:
in Excel, I have a white plus sign on my current workbook. I wouldn't mind; however, it prevents me from navigating from cell to cell via the arrow keys. I shut down Excel & restarted but to no avail.
FWIW, I Googled this problem, but did not find an effective solution.
How can I turn off this mode? Thanks!

You're welcome Stephen! That means I guessed it correctly. :)
A couple of possibilities:
1. The cursor is a white plus sign. Click once and navigate away with your cursor keys. I have Excel 2016 and that is just how it works. No navigation issues here.
2. Do you have a graphic image stuck somewhere (unlikely)?

Also the cursor on excel is one you see currently and it is different from one which you see on word application.

John,
No graphic image. And it looks like it was a scroll-lock issue per the navigation.
I'll have to get used to the plus sign.
I'd love to give you points, but looks like you responded 1 min. after I closed this question. Thanks for your contribution.
