Word 2013 - Tracking Revisions - How to mark something as a revision that was missed earlier
I started revising document "A" but forgot to turn on "track changes"
How can I manually indicate the insertion/deletion of text so that the manager can reject or accept it?

You didn't mention what version of Word you're using, BrotherTruffle. In Office 365/2016, on the Review tab, the COMPARE icon (toward the right end) allows you to Combine... assuming that you do have two files - pre-edit and post-edit. The combined file will be marked up using Track changes.

a) have a backup
or b) still have the document open & unsaved.
If the latter, you might be able to undo (ctrl+Z) the changes.
Then turn on the tracking and do the edits again.
