What is this filter doing?
I have a report that was given to me that is currently run within an application. This report will be moved to run of the Business Objects server. The ultimate goal is to have 1 parameter where a user enters a complaint number only. I'm assuming what the user currently enters is more information than how the complaint numbers is stored in the database. Unfortunately I cannot connect to the Database right now to see and won't get access until the very last minute. Can anyone dumb this down for me and tell me what this is doing? Please! My end goal is to have ?SPCOMPLAINTParameter={V_C XP_CUSTOME R_PXP.QXP_ EXCEPTION_ NO}
I can’t really test anything because I don’t have access to the database yet and won’t for a while. here is an example of what the user currently enters in the current environment.
“CMPLNT-002172313”
{V_CXP_CUSTOMER_PXP.QXP_OR G_ID} = {?OrgId} and
(
If ( Length(Trim({?spComplaintN umber})) > 0) then
(If {?spComplaintNumber} <> '*' then
(if ("*" in {?spComplaintNumber}) then
({V_CXP_CUSTOMER_PXP.QXP_E XCEPTION_N O} like ({?spComplaintNumber}))
else
({V_CXP_CUSTOMER_PXP.QXP_E XCEPTION_N O} in (split({?spComplaintNumber },",")))
))
else
If ( Length(Trim({?spIssueNo})) > 0) then
(if ("*" in {?spIssueNo}) then
({DOC_DOCUMENT_CORE.DOC_DO CUMENT_NO} like ({?spIssueNo}))
else
({DOC_DOCUMENT_CORE.DOC_DO CUMENT_NO} in (split({?spIssueNo},",")))
)
)
