VMPlayer - Can I access a web server from the host
I have a VM running in VM Workstation 12 Player . I want to access the web server from the host laptop.
I have tried using the Server name and what I believe is the IP address. I get the Can't find the address error.
The VM is setup to use NAT to share the Ethernet connection from the host.

ASKER
The VM is setup in NAT mode.
I have the VM open and used the IP address I found through IPCONFIG. I assume that is the correct IP Address.

What is the IP Address of the VM ?
What NAT range are you using ?
Can you ping the IP Address from the Host ?

So what networking suits your networking, if you set to Bridged Mode, the Virtual Machine if set top DHCP will obtain an IP Address, which is in the same network as your Host.
Like with accessing any web server, if you do not know the IP Address, you are trying to find a needle in a haystack.
I would log onto your VM, and confirm it's IP Address.
