What DNS servers are you using? (Run CMD Prompt and type ipconfig /all to find out). You could try setting them to a static DNS server in your network configuration to test (Google DNS - 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, or OpenDNS - 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220). <br />

Run an nslookup on the machine to see if it's talking back to your dns servers correctly (CMD prompt - nslookup, then type anything you know the IP address for (i.e. <a href="http://www.google.co.uk" rel="ugc">www.google.co.uk</a>&nbsp;is 216.58.206.131)<br />

Check the DNS Client service is running on the machine.<br />

Is Windows Firewall on? Is it allowing access to DNS/Port 53?<br />

Try an anti-virus/malware scan - some infections will try to change your DNS settings and can screw up a bit.<br />

You can try resetting both Winsock and the TCP/IP stack. While I doubt it will be the issue, you can also try temporarily uninstalling your antivirus software.
