VCSA and External PSC for linked mode ?

Hi All,

In vCenter 6.5 (VCSA), joining a vCenter with embedded PSC to an external PSC is not supported.

So how can I join three different VCenter appliances with all embedded PSC to become one Linked mode ?

Data Center 1 - AD Domain DC1.int
VCSA v6.5 embedded PSC
vDS in used + Resource Pool

Data Center 2 - AD Domain DC2.int
VCSA v6.5 embedded PSC
No vDS + No Resource Pool

Head Quarter - AD Domain CorpHQ.local
VCSA v6.5 embedded PSC
No vDS + Resource Pool in used

How can I re-deploy additional external PSC without causing any downtime ?

Hi Paul,

At the moment I have already deployed all-in-one VCSA v6.5 [PRODVCSA01-VM], so in the next steps, can I migrate or split this VCSA to:

PRODPSC01-VM - PSC server for AD Site Data Center 1
PRODVCSA02-VM - The migrated VCSA to another stand-alone appliance?

OK, is htere any way to migrate the existing VCSA historical data, Resource Pools and dvSwitch to the new VCSA ?
Thanks Paul,

Is there any migration path from the embedded VCSA into the Stand Alone VCSA with Stand-Alone PSC ?
sorry about that, lost this thread.  There are several items you can migrate but I would recommend doing a clean rebuild.  You can export vCD information, resource pools, etc.. but I am not sure how they would go into a new schema on in the new vCenter/PSC stack
