ASKER

sql installation root directory. Error is Reloading agent settings
You still not giving enough information.
How much free space do you still have?
Is the SQL Agent service up and running?
What version of SQL Server do you have installed?
SQL Server version 2012 RTM

space left only 1.72 GB out of 40 GB

SQL Agent and service are up and running

it is SQL Agent log directory

Status: Active and responding ( 0)
Svcs: Disk Space D < 3GB
There's a known bug that has been reported and fixed in SQL Server 2012.
Last Service Pack for MSSQL 2012 is SP3. Download and install it and this might fix that bug.
Thanks for quick reply. Instead of registry change from 1 to 0 should i apply sp3?
Instead of registry change from 1 to 0 should i apply sp3?
I know it's faster to change the registry key but SP3 solves another issues too. And mind that RTM version is not supported anymore since you already have 3 SPs to apply so in my opinion you should apply SP3 asap.
Vitor,

Today morning i came a across our physical box and there some of the folders file are filled up that directory last night. One of our developers own this box. That's why we got the space issue.

As per suggestion, sql reloading agent settings will fix apply latest sp. Is it always to better to have latest service pack in order to prevent bug related issues?
