MS-Word: Creating a "second" Heading 1 using letters and have captions using that letter as the chapter number
Hi,
I'm driving myself crazy with this one. I'm writing a formatted document in word and I'm trying to get the Appendix going. I have an extensive list of custom styles in this one.
Heading 1 = 1 TITLE
Heading 2 = 1.1 TITLE
Heading 3 = 1.1.1 TITLE
etc, you get the idea
When I add a caption I getting it to show the chapitre number:
Figure 1-1: Description
Now, I created a "Style" using Heading 1 as the template and call it "Heading 1 Appendix" and used the following numbering format:
APPENDIX A
APPENDIX B
etc.
Appendix = APPENDIX A TITLE
This works fine until I add a caption in that chapter. The caption takes the number of the previous chapitre.
1 TITLE
text text text
APPENDIX A TITLE
text text text
Figure 1-1: Text
I wan't it to show:
Figure A-1: Text
Any idea?
I included an attachement as an example.
