I think here would &nbsp;be a good place to bring this up (instead of posting a new question): I have another T61...brand new and loaded with Win 7. I just booted it and it wanted to install something with Win 9. &nbsp;Is there anything I can do to &quot;lock in&quot; Win 7? &nbsp;<br />

Anyway.... I'll just transfer the data from the old T61 to the new one...

I think here would  be a good place to bring this up (instead of posting a new question): I have another T61...brand new and loaded with Win 7. I just booted it and it wanted to install something with Win 9.  Is there anything I can do to "lock in" Win 7?

There is no Wind 9. Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. The grace (free) period is gone long ago, so it should not be trying to install Windows 10.

Blue screen is coming with increasing frequency. What's the best fix? Googled, and found it possibly relates to hardware drivers. I'm very hesitant to download software to fix.
