Changed Active Directory account does not disconnect from old account

this is a hot mess, here we go:
1. Lady had a name change so we changed it in AD and the alias in Exchange 2013.
2. Problems with the account hanging on to the old address
3. The original changed account was deleted and a new one created with her new last name. When sending emails it would not recognize the new email address but held on to the old address. Received undeliverable error. Here is the error:

Remote Server returned '550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found'

What I need to do is totally delete and disconnect the old account from AD and exchange to have the name change work again. Please advise.

Hi,
Try to clear that particular user from cache and type as new entry.
http://windowsitpro.com/outlook/outlook-2010-autocomplete-cache-and-suggested-contacts
If this works add an X500 entry using this

The cache was already deleted and it still did not work sending an email to the new address name. Something in Exchange 2013 is still connecting the new address with the old one in the system. I need to somehow clean out the old name in Exchange so that the new email address will be recognized and work.
Just add custom X500 with old legacyexchangedn value. Which you can get it, from bounce back message. It is a known issue.

In exchange management console

Mailbox properties

SMTP address with the new name should be bold
-Highlight the old address, right click and select remove
Did this already. The old address is not in the mailbox properties. The only email address in there is the new one with the X400 which has the new name.
Convert the below value using the article I posted above and and add as an X500 address. It should be working.
"IMCEAEX-_o=HQ_ou=Exchange+20Administrative+20Group+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_cn=Recipients_cn=617ef591788a434c93c80b0ef4eeb9b2-LastName+20FirstName+20+28BTA@btas.com"
Still received  a NDR. Here is the error:  The old name email address is still in the address. Its not in AD or in the Mailbox properties.

Paste the screenshot for user email address tab here.
I sent you a direct message of the address area:  Here is the capture from the address area
From the screenshot, I can see, the value in X500 is not entered properly. Try this KB:
http://msexchangeguru.com/2012/03/15/x500/

Or send me the bounce back message legacyexchangedn. I can convert it for you.
I sent you the NDR to convert
I sent you the update value via message try out. It was tough to convert the value after cn=Recipients as it also have +20+28

There is a duplicate in AD already so it won't restore. What I would like is to entirely delete both the old name and the current name and clear these totally out of AD and Exchange and create a new account for the user. Is this possible?
Any Update?
We just created a new account for the person and deleted the old account hoping it will clear out.
