Since these are songs you do not own, and if there are no Copyrights that are Associated with it, youtube provides a way you can save the stream. If you are unable to save the data stream, that would suggest the song in question are copyrighted and are not available for download.

I cannot support what you will be using it for but there are tools I used to convert youtube presentation clips to audio for example so I can listen to it in the car instead of having to sit in front of the screen.  MODERATOR, NOTE THAT THESE ARE LEGITIMATE SITES AND NOTE WHAT ARNOLD SAID ABOUT COPYRIGHTS! Please use it ethically!

Arnold, relax .... those sites are not hard to find via Google and they are legitimate sites.  It's probably the first top 5 if you query it.  What you are NOT allowed to state here is hacking sites, torrent sites, tools etc.   If I am referring to him to a way to hack something then it's different.

He may not own the songs but it doesn't mean he was referencing copyrighted songs.  There are a lot of songs on YouTube made by small independent artists and they are not copyrighted.  If you still disagree then call a moderator, he/she will be able to clarify EE policies.

I got your point but not everyone uses those sites illegally.  Stop jumping into conclusions!

The asker having identified the beats, rhytms, etc. that the bandmate should incorporate, one way to provide the links to the item and have the person approach, it is one thing to get it for one's use. The other is to "distribute."

Wayne, please see comment I originally posted. Asker points out that song of interest to add to the skill of the drummer are not owned. Even free songs can be copyrighted YouTube has an app if not mistaken, that provides a way for those that can be offloaded, while other content is not.


I gather you are familiar with fair use, and proper attribution, etc. while I lack your singing talent, it is unlikely that the enhancements, horizon expanding sounds are a rendition of original material that someone else performed.

Arnold, I am still within EE policy and you're making assumption that just because the song of interest is not owned it's copyrighted.  Yes free songs can be copyrighted by I still stand on my point that it may not be.  There are free songs from small independent artists that are not copyrighted and hence those two sites I referenced are legal sites and can be referenced in EE as per EE policy.

We are saying similar things, though you attribute to me something I never said. I only cautioned the asker in what consideration may impact the ability to borrow the songs/music/melody/rendition..

Small independent artists use YouTube as a distribution medium they might and are likely toretain ....... Their rights ...
