Recovering deleted VM in vSphere 6.x

An admin deleted an important VM (Windows 2012 R2).  Is there any way to recover the deleted VM  (from the disk) not unregistered in vCenter 6.x   Are there any options.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of anyway to recover the whole VM (vmdk) in ESXi.  Can only recover the configuration (VMX) file.

This is good information Andrew.   A related question if I may, is there any way to "protect" a vm to ensure it is  not deleted  by mistake  in vCenter 6
Interesting, hopefully they work on RAID drives as well.  Let us know how it goes.

No, like with any file or folder, Take Regular Backups! Replication, Backup Applications are FREE and Cheap and Storage is the cheapest it's been in years.

Only Grant permissions to Trained VMware Administrators, we all make mistakes, and that's why we have Backups and Replications.

A BACKUP IS NOT A BACKUP UNLESS IT'S IN THREE PLACES!
