Printout format - printing only what needed

Need -a- Clue
Last Modified: 2018-04-26
I have 900 mp3 songs on a thumbdrive. If I click on the drive I get four columns that display. Name, Date Modified, Type and Size. ALL I wish to print out  is the name of the file sorted the way it appears on the screen, which  is sorted by name. How do I accomplish this? It would be great to have two or three columns on each sheet of paper. I only have Word, Notepad and CorelDraw that might aid in the solution. I deleted all columns except for Name and copied that column. I opened Word and chose two column mode and tried to paste. It caused Word to freeze up. After rebooting I got the same effect.

you can create a text file via the Command interface

type cmd.exe in the search box and press enter

type in the thumb drive letter and press enter (ex. F:)

once you are there, enter the command dir > List.txt

go the the drive using Windows Explorer and you will see the  new file List.txt

So far so good. I now can get a text file with all the info for each file. Is there a way to get ONLY the name of the file in the list? I don't need file size and date an so forth.
