Upon starting the computer I get a nag screen which along with 2 or 3 others really slows down my start up process.  If I uninstall the app for the Weather Channel will I still be able to see the full weather reporting just as I do now or is that dependent on leaving their app installed?  If I may not uninstall and still get the same weather I get now is there a way to remove that irritating nag screen I get on starting the computer? Thanks.

Hi,
Sorry I have not been on here for a very long time and am not sure exactly how the comment box works here.  Do I speak to both people who offered solutions in one box?

Dave,
Now the app is no longer on my list of programs but the nag screen (not sure if this is the right term) still comes up when I shut down and turn computer on again.  It is very persistent and takes several clicks to make it go off the screen.  Then it still shows on the task bar.  That leaves me with the feeling it is still on the computer even though not showing on the Programs and Features list in the Control Panel.  Should I put this in as a separate question?

Hi Shaun,

The blue square with "The Weather Channel" are what I see but other than that the other images you show do not math that front sreen or the daily weather sreen I look at almost every day.

Are there directions somewhere for using this site?  It has been a very long time and I do not remember exactly how things are done here.  Thanks.

I would just install the store version and uninstall the desktop version
