Server 2012 r2 and SQL 2014

I'm trying to install SQL 2014 on my new server 2012 r2. It is asking for network framework 3.5 sp1 however, I can't install this.  If I try to go to  roles and features and add network framework 3.5 features its fails.  What am I missing?

this is my error Do you need to specify an alternate source path? One or more installation selections are missing source files on the destination server. The server will try to get missing source files from Windows Update, or from a location that is specified by Group Policy. You can also click the “Specify an alternate source path” link on this page to provide a valid location for the source files.
DISM command?  Should I use the server install disk or SQL 2014 disk? Powershell or DOS?
You install .NET 3.5 first before SQL install. The disk in the Windows install disk
Thanks I did that and was able to install SQL.
