.XSN saves to .XML

Hello I've got a form that needs to be filled out.  It's an .xsn format, which every time i save it save's to XML.  I can open it on my computer no issue, but when i email to my manager for approval he gets an error.  Stating "To open file, access the following form template is required

Not sure how to get around this rather going to my managers machine downloading form filling out.

Thanks

Copy a .xsn file from a share drive to my desktop fill it out then save it, & send to manager for approval. It saves from .xsn to .XML for some reason i can open the form on my computer no issue, but when i send it to my manger he gets an error.  " Infopath cannot open the following file: ( located C:\users\userx\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\content.outlook\document name.XML)  (To open the file, access to the following template is required: (file:///C:\Users\userx\desktop\file in question.  The template in question is on the user who created the forms desktop.  Not sure how to link it to the required template.

The Solution was the same for me as for the user in the above question.  What we ended up having to do is publish form to SharePoint.  Made some modifications to the actual document with "Email to supervisor" which sends directly to supervisor
