DNS issues on a handful of websites, the rest load fine
We have two internal DNS servers running 2012. Over the last few days a few site don't want to load or load incorrectly (See attachment). For example Cnn.com will load but everything in the left side of the page if it loads at all. I am able to ping the IP fine, NSlookup looks fine.
I have tried the following
Rebooted DNS servers
Cleared cache on DNS servers
Scavenge old records on the DNS servers
Flushed local DNS on my PC
Tried 3 different web browsers
Tried changing my DNS pointers to Google 8.8 & 4.4
Tired setting static DNS to goodie on my local PC
I am able to load 99% of the sites I hit but CNN.com, ESPN.com and WAFF.com have be a constant issues over the last few days.
Nothing has worked to this point. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you tried 3 different web browsers on the same machine? If so, try a different machine. Just curious if all the computers are experiencing the same problem or just one?

It's happening on all machines within the company on chrome, ie, Firefox. I think the issue is related to our primary dns server, last time I rebooted it and it was offline, the sites opened fine, after the server came back online, issues came back. Going to take it offline tomorrow for a bit and run some test while it's working.
Do you have a proxy/cache/load balancer at all?
I am still not sold on the DNS is the problem because if you had tested it outside the firewall and with Google DNS then it should work. We can verify if DNS is the problem by setting a computer TCP/IP configuration to use static Google DNS instead of Obtain DNS Server automatically and retest?

We don't use a proxy/cache/load balancer. I know it doesn't make since, putting in the static dns to Google should of worked if that's the case which it didnt, was discussing that with my boss earlier. That is why I want to take the server offline to see if I can duplicate the results.

Yesterday morning one of our DNS servers stopped replicating so we ended up rebooting all the DNS server and the vertical host as well as the firewall, after that the sites loaded fine. Not sure if it was the reboots, re-syncing the DNS or the firewall reboot but issues has been resolved. Thanks everyone for the comments.
I am unsure why using a static DNS outside the firewall also failed. Wished we can help you more JDS42. Cheers!
