Input Over If Statement

Hello!

I am designing a template that sales people will use to log their activity. I want to make it so that, for example, cell D3 changes to "someone@example.com" when email is selected from the drop down list in E3 or "(XXX)-XXX-XXXX" when mobile phone is selected. This is easy to be done, however, when a sales person goes to log the data they will have to erase the formula to put in the info. Is there any way it can display the data I want but then act like an empty cell when a user goes to input data?
