LOOKING for an "Outside" wifi adaptor to connect an IP cam to an Access Point
Hi,
All adapter I am finding are USB wifi or PCI wifi adaptor. My ip cam has a rj45 plug to connect to a cabled network so I would need something like an rj45 to wifi adapter that in turns will connect to my access point.

Even if there is such thing I think it will just be cheaper to get an IP camera, it's $40 on Amazon.

I might have not be clear: there is no USB on the camera, just a regular network plug (rj45).
So the camera would use a cat5e cable to connect to a device that will transmit Wifi to my acces points.

I meant wireless IP camera that is like this one: https://www.amazon.com/SV3C-Wireless-Camera-Security-Surveillance/dp/B071V8K3RY/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1494430329&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=wireless+ip+camera&psc=1

I understand what you are trying to accomplish. However, in my opinion for more of a solid connection- install a point to point link from your camera to your exisiting network. It would look something like this
Camera > Switch > Wireless P2P >>>>>>> Wireless P2P > Network
This would allow you to connect to your camera through the wireless link.
Camera > Switch > Wireless P2P >>>>>>> Wireless P2P > Network
This would allow you to connect to your camera through the wireless link.
Ah, I understand now. Then the only way you are going to make that camera work with WiFi is to get a Wireless Access Point as Rob mentioned above. Some WAPs have RJ45 switch ports in the back and you can connect the camera to it.
But here is the drawback ... you have a good quality camera and WiFi bandwidth may not be able to sustain that kind of quality. You can give it a try.

@Wayne
Very true, maybe a p2p link isn't required. Cisco WAP351 have 3-4 lan ports in! forgot about that. good suggestion.

Do you know of any wireless access point that have rj45 for that and the minimum of ports the better it is AND it must be for Outside use.
My external access points have 800mb speed and the cams only uses 8mb so I should be ok. But I will test them before a full deployement.
My other option are underground gel cat5e stp with Outside injectors and it's complicated because of many factors. I'd rather have them wifi all the way

Ubiquiti makes good products and I use them as well. Here is a cheaper unit from Netgear with 5 ports. You want to extend your current WiFi so you will need a WiFi Range Extender with RJ45 ports:

Edit: you would also have to set your device/workstation to the same subnet, with a static IP.... now i think about it- it should work this way. However you will be confined to only your camera/AP network.

Wayne88 : seems to be an "Inside" antenna...
I found Fortinet AP 112D https://www.cdw.com/shop/products/Fortinet-FortiAP-112D-wireless-access-point/4134678.aspx which is external, 2 rj45 ports so one for the cam, and it's the same manufacturer of all my wifi network here.

Thanks Natty Greg for the link: nice product... but it's "inside use" only. I would need to built a heated encloser for it...
I'll go with Fortinet Outside AP's

you're welcome
You would have to setup a p2p link, so wireless p2p antennas to connect this camera back to your network if a wired option is not available.
