Monitor incoming/outgoing email

hi there,
I need to monitor for inbound email from a specific external email address to our organization, I also need to monitor if anyone within the organization is emailing to this specific email address. It would be great if I can get a copy of the email both ways, or at minimum get a notification as soon as someone receives or send an email. I am not sure if there is any built-in functionality such as a transport rule in Exchange to accomplish this, I am willing to look into third party tools as well.

email system: Exchange 2010 Enterprise
client: Outlook 2010

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,

you can use transport rules to achieve some of the functions. Create email contact for that external address, and then use transport rule to either add BCC to every email send to that address, or maybe to require approval from manager (moderator).

The rule should look like: if recipient is --> "then select recipient from email contact list" --> action: add BCC, or forward message for approval to moderator.

Transport rule actions: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998315(v=exchg.141).aspx

Regards,
Ivan.
