how can I scan several pages of tables with entries into Microsoft Excel 2013 for editing?

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

I am needing to scan several pages of tables with entries into Microsoft Excel 2013 for editing.  The unit I use for my scanning applications is an HP Deskjet 2543 which comes with its own software.  Unfortunately, this multi-functional printer/copier/scanner is flatbed, so, it can only scan documents one at a time for editing.  With this point in mind, I will need to merge all of the files together into one single file and then edit it.

Any feedback given in reply to this question will be greatly appreciated.  If any clarification is needed to this request, please feel free to let me know and I will get right back with you.

          Thanks so much.

I think I will look into other possible solutions to this issue other than scanning.  I did not realize it would be that complicated.

Thanks for giving me the heads up.

If you have access to the original data, you may be able to export it as a comma or tab separated file (.CSV or .TXT) and load that into Excel. Have a look through the application and see what the possibilities are. All this assumes you have access to the program.

Another possibility is to print it using the Generic/Text only driver. That will create a pure text file, for easy import into Excel.

Finally, printing it with the PDF driver will at least preserve the text as text, but still keep all the lines and graphics. With luck (lots of it) you can copy/paste it into Excel.
