Adjective-nouns, noun-adjectives correlation dictionary?
Hi
I am in need of a particular database, or dictionary if you will. This database should contain a many-to-many relationship between nouns and adjectives. I am wondering if such a dictionary has a name, what the proper term for this relationship is called or if something like this even exists?
To elaborate:
My problem arises when attempting to parse questions posed by humans in a computer program. Here is an example: How high is Mount Everest? My computer program can isolate 'high' and 'Mount Everest'. It then looks up Mount Everest and finds that it has a number of properties, one of them being 'height'. However, in order to know that 'height' is the property I am looking for, I need to know that 'high' (adjective) correlates to 'height' (noun).
I am guessing that such a dictionary would be of the many-to-many form. For example both 'old' and 'young' should correspond to 'age'.
