User Folder Creation and Permissions
Using Server 2008 and 2012 AD.
What we've done in the past: Create a "DATA" folder that is the local file share, then a "User" folder under that. All users on the network get a personal folder created here. However permissions for each user have to be set manually.
What we'd like to do: Preferably via group policy, set it up so that as users are created, their folder named %username% is created in the correct folder with the correct permissions. Permissions should be setup so they have access to their own folder, but no one else's. These user folders should also be able to have a group such as "Manager" attached to them so that if you're in the managers group you can also access the folder.
Is there a typical standard or "best practices" way of accomplishing this?

Thanks Nathan. It's not really what I was hoping for, but I guess it's the best of what exists.
