thanks John,
i have a small network of 21 users in my domain, some of them might not even tell me if their machine is infected, is there a way that i can check the AD users machine whether their system are hit with the attack? they are limited user account and i am the admin

Look out for messages displayed on your computer such as “Your files have been encrypted, pay a ransom to unlock your files”; this suggests your computer may have been attacked.
Immediately turn off your computer to prevent the infection from spreading, and contact your IT Service Desk if you think your computer may have been attacked.
