Manually creating email Distribution Group - Universal does not showing up on Exchange Groups control panel ?
People,
Why is that ?
I've created manually the email Distribution Group - Universal from AD console on my desktop, but then after 24 hrs+ the groups I created does not show up on Exchange Groups control panel?
and not yet appearing on my Outlook GAL.
How to expedite the process?
Thanks.

Did you create the group in EMC after you created the group in ADUC? If not you need to do this as well.

No, do I need to do the same name ?
I'm using Exchange Server 2013.

Yes.
I find that creating the group in ADUC and adding the users first then create the group in EMC is the easiest way to create if your have many users that need to be added at once. If you only are creating the group for future members I would just create it in EMC and add users later via ADUC.

I got this error:
Active Directory operation failed on PRODDC27-VM.Domain.com. The object 'CN=Product Support,OU=Distribution Groups,OU=Payments,DC=Domain,DC=com' already exists.
You should have two option.
1: new groups
2: existing group.
You want to select existing group and select group.

Somehow I cannot get the DG from the Powershell command from the EMS 2013:

Is your replication working properly?
How many DC's do you have?
You can force to speak to a specific DC that you know has the group if there is a replication problem.

Hi Yo_Bee,
Is this because the DG is already Universal ?
Is this because the DG is already Universal ?
It has to be a Universal Group.
I do not have Exchange 2013 so I can not really test, but it should would the same.
Are you running the Powershell command from the Exchange Powershell

Hi Yo_Bee,
yes, it is Distribution Group - Universal group that has been created in AD Users & Console.
I'm executing it from Exchange Management Shell.

OK, it seems that after using the EMS on the server itself, its working with no error message displayed.
But how can I see the update on the GAL for all of my Outlook client users ?

You should be able to see this rather shortly.

Yes, it is shown up in my Exchange Control Panel, but not in my Outlook yet after 1 hr ?
You may have to force replication between all DC's
